Flora Means by the statement celebrities provide a "common currency in our socially fractured world that the more people get down on themselves for a situation at work, etc, the more they talk about what is going or what was going on in the celebrity world. I do agree with her because people do talk about the celebrity world often. some instances where celebrities can fiand a way to connect includes marriages and divorces.

According to Flora, we are drwan to stars because they live in a parrallel universe one that looks and feels just like ours yet is light years away. Were attracted to the things they do. People are also attracted to what goes in there lives because it seems as if their lives are different and better.

A reality TV star and an actor might deeal with fame differently by the fact it is was real and that you will have people thinking that it was real. So the people who were interested in th reality tv show stuff will be asking questions about the reality of the tv show. An actor may have less to worry about becuase all of his performance was fake and only acting.

Some ways that star watching can be inspiring is because a lot of the stars sometimes came from nothing. Some Inspiration celebrities that I could think of who fulfill this role would be a lot of hip hop artists some needs that celebrity watching could fill would probably be the need to talk, gossip, or discuss celbrities becuase they ahve nothing else to talk about
